When I first started doing remodeling work about 20 years ago, my parents took me to the local tool distributor and asked them what the best nailer would be for me. The owner of the place pointed to a Senco.

What I remember about my first Senco nailer was that it was built like a tank, really smooth, had very little recoil, and was reliable. Well, fast-forward 20 years, and that’s how I’d describe the Senco 455XP. The Senco 455XP is an elegant tool.

Power: The recoil on this nailer is very light, yet it drives with power to the set depth.

Depth Adjustment: I commonly use roofing nailers for felt, flashing, siding, and not just for shingles. The  455XP adjusts well to each of the jobs mentioned above.

Ergonomics: The 455XP is a well-balanced nailer. I think the weight of the 455XP tames the felt recoil to a minimum.

The next time you are in the market for a roofing nailer, do yourself a favor and check out the Senco 455XP. I’m sure in 20 years, you’ll be thanking yourself that you did.

Senco 455XP Tools of the Tradies

This nailer brings back good memories for me. About 20 years ago, when I first started remodeling homes, my folks bought a Senco nailer for me. It looked a lot this one, minus the stickers, rubber grip, and fancy artwork. It performed flawlessly for many years. I have a roofing project coming up in about a week, so I’ll push this nailer to the max, then report back with the skinny.
